We get a lot of fog and mist this time of year and I love painting atmospheric conditions, so here is another misty watercolor. I'm feeling really pleased because I was notified that I had two paintings accepted in a juried exhibition for the Marin Society of Artists show - running through July-August - titled Land and Sea.
Congratulation...Jean
ReplyDeleteCongratulation! Which of your paintings was accepted? This one is enchanting, I love your misty watercolors!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cristina. The paintings accepted for the juried exhibit were Storm Clouds and Mt. Tam Mist which I did some time ago.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jean, you certainly deserve it! This one is lovely - you've caught the mist so perfectly and the colours are just so right!
ReplyDeleteStarting at the beginning of your blog, the pictures aren't showing - just a red X in the upper left corner. I can't get them to open by clicking on them. what am I doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Jean, you truly deserve that acknowledgment for your talent.I love the misty glaze in the sky and the soft impressions of the trees to go with it, lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you Padmaja.
ReplyDeleteSissy: I don't know why you are having this problem. Please email me if it persists and I will contact support. Is anyone else having the problem?
Jean, first thanks for the comment on my drawing.. I absolutely love your misty painting. . It makes me wish for my days back in Fremont ...I came back (Florida) for family and now they are gone. I still can imagine the fog rolling in over those cypress trees.
ReplyDeleteLiz: Thank you for your comments. I'd like to try this again and make it a little more misty.
ReplyDeleteBarbara: We came from Virginia to CA for family - fortunately they are settled here. I love being near my grandchildren and I love the CA climate.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the upcoming show! Yes, your work is imbued with your love of fog and atmosphere. It's great to hear that you are getting your work shown. Paint on!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melinda. Yes, I have been rather lax until now about entering exhibitions. I do need to get my work out there.

ReplyDeleteJean, this is soft and quietyly beautiful. You are producing a significant body of work. Congratulations on getting into the juried show -- well deserved.
ReplyDeleteI just coordinated a workshop by Tom Fong and he mentioned your instructor, Jerry. Tom paints wet, loose, and spontaneous. I learned a lot from him.
Congrats Jean! Well deserved. Good luck.
